My first mill was a Little Machine Shop Hi-Torque 3900 mini mill, purchased second hand. The LMS ones seem to be better equipped than the same manufacturer sold elsewhere under different names. For example the LMS one has a larger table and is fitted with a belt drive instead of the plastic gear drive that I have heard is a failure point.
