The auto machines have trip-offs for the feeds on all axes, but not hard stops. I did fit removable hard stops to my auto 618 before acquiring a Cincy T & C.

I think I'd prefer to weld the two together, then just grind the top (or the top of the plate and the bottom of the frame, if double-disc grinding is an option).
